'If you were given a year to live, how would you change your life?'

Such an interesting question, and while I do believe that many people would live differently if they were told they only had 1 year left to live, I'm not certain what I would actually change. My mind still goes immediately to my loved ones and how what I might like to do or how I might like to live would impact them.

I Love this!! I used to work as an oncology nurse. I started out when I was just 20. Working on a bone marrow transplant unit, watching such young people be taken from their “just getting started” lives unquestionably led to a shift in the way I looked at the whole world; an in turn, affected how I lived. I love that you point out just nixing the old “myth” without replacing it with a new one, can create a vacuum. Also too, the notion of assuming we will all make it to at least “life expectancy.” So, as Mary Oliver says, “what to do with our one precious life? For me, a message to Be Present.
